Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Justice Ministry announced receiving judicial orders to release a number of women detainees.
The Spokesperson of the Ministry, Haider al-Saadi said that “The Reform Department within the Ministry received judicial orders to release 11 women inmates from women prison.”
The judicial orders require that the release process should be accompanied by paying bails.
The decision of releasing women prisoners came after Anbar province witnessed mass demonstrations demanding to release the women inmates.
It is worth mentioning that the Judges Commission that the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki has decided to form announced on last Wednesday the release of 13 women detainees.
