Iraqi National Guard infiltrated by extremists, former Ba’ath party members says head of al-Dawa party

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Al-Dawa party said on Monday that the government must have the upper hand over the provincial national guards otherwise it could morph into another ISIS.

Ali al-Badiri, the head of al-Dawa party stated “We’ve information and leads which indicate that some elements of Saddam Hussein’s Ba’ath party and other people from extremist groups are taking roles in the national guards.”

“Iraqi government must maintain the upper hand over the national guards.” He said
