Iraqi ports achieve highest rate in receiving cargos in 2012

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Transportations announced that “The Iraqi ports have achieved the highest rate in unloading cargos in 2012.”The Ministry of Transportations reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The Iraqi ports achieved the highest rate in unloading cargos in 2012 since 2003 when the total ammount of cargos unloaded in the Iraqi ports reached (800,000) Tons of various goods.”The Ministry attributed this achievement to the ”Rehabilitation and development projects and the professional administration which used the modern techniques and progressed methods.””The marine units that docked on Iraqi ports reached (2,210) varied between commercial ship, fuel transporters and other units which were received by different Iraqi ports such as Um Qasr, Khur al-Zubair, Maqal and Abu Flous,” the statement pointed out. \
