Iraqi Telecommunications Ministry to launch strategic projects with private sector

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Telecommunications Ministry’s Undersecretary, Amir al-Bayati, stressed that the Ministry is going on sustaining the prospects of cooperation with the private sector to implement the service and strategic projects.

A statement by the Ministry quoted Bayai during his meeting with representative of the Iranian Martyr Qindi Company, Mohamed Ridha, as saying “The strategic and service projects that will be implemented by the Telecommunications Ministry with the private sector will convert the old landlines into optical networks, besides launching other services that would help improving the communications services presented to the subscribers.”

“We are seeking to activate the cooperation agreement with Iran in fields of telecommunications and technological development,” the statement concluded.
