ISIL flogs young man for harassment in Mosul
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the elements of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant flogged a young man on charges of “harassment of a girl” inside ta market north of Mosul.
An eyewitness told IraqiNews.com that the militants of ISIL carried out, yesterday evening, a sentence of flogging of a young man accused of harassment of a girl inside a popular market in Al-Muthanna, north of Mosul.”
The eyewitness added that “one of the elements of ISIL announced the sentencing and punishment by flogging to a gathering of people by the market while another element in ISIL carried out the flogging on the young man – a total of 30 lashes.”
On July 13, 2014, the organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant ordered the formation of committees in the mosques of Mosul to flog anyone following the final match of the World Cup under the pretext that it is a “fun act of worship.”
