Kirkuk Governor calls to increase allocations granted by Petro-Dollar to oil producing provinces

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk Governor Najim al-Din Karim demanded to increase the financial allocations granted by the Petro-Dollar project to the oil producing provinces from being dollar per barrel to 3%.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan quoted Karim as saying “The allocation of funds by The Petro-Dollar project to the oil producing provinces can be achieved through getting approval of the Parliament on in.”

He called to submit “A proposal at the parliament over the oil producing provinces as these cities are affected by the pollution caused by the oil sector residues.”

“The situations in Kirkuk are stable and calm,” Karim added noting “What we witnessed yesterday was a peaceful demonstration that was launched according to the constitution and in light of the praiseworthy efforts of the police to secure them.”
