KRG announces 1st, 10th of Muharrem official holiday

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Government of Kurdistan Region announced the first and the 10th day of Muharrem as an official holiday for all governmental institutions in Kurdistan Region.

The secretary of the Cabinet of Kurdistan Region, Mohamed Qaradaghi, said in press statement ”On the occasion of the new Islamic year, the first day of Muharrem, which will be next Thursday, the KRG announces Thursday as an official holiday in all governmental institutions in Kurdistan Region.”

The statement added ”The tenth of Muharrem will be an official holiday in Kurdistan Region also.” \
