Kurdistan admits to $3 billion worth 42 oil shipments

(IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan Regional Government announced Sunday, that employees’ salaries for the month of November of last year will be available in the next few days, starting with the Ministry of Peshmerga—pointing out that, the Kurdistan Regional Government, since May, has sold 42 shipment of crude oil for a total amount of about three billion U.S. dollars.

Government spokesman Sven Dzia said in statement followed IraqiNews.com that in the next few days employees will be given their salaries of November in all departments and institutions of the region, beginning with the Ministry of Peshmerga. He explained that the deadline has not been specified so far, but it will not exceed a few days.

He added that in order to provide the salaries, the government needs 850 billion dinars.

Concerning the Kurdish oil sales, Dzia stressed that his government is continuing to sell crude oil, adding that under the recent agreement with the federal government that the government has begun to implement since the beginning of this year, the oil of the region has decreased.

He explained that his government began to export crude oil in May 2014 through its pipelines to the port of Ceyhan in Turkey, pointing out that the region has been selling 42 loads of crude oil for a total of about 3 billion U.S. dollars.
