 Kurdistan announces non-compliance with Iraqi decision to block porn sites

NB-146253-635778496521641044(IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Transportation and Communications in Kurdistan announced its non-compliance to the the decision of the House of Representatives to block pornographic sites, stressing that the concerned authorities in Iraq will not be able to block those sites.

The ministry spokesperson Omid Mohammed Saleh said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Ministry of Transportation and Communications is not bound by the decision of the Iraqi Parliament to block porn sites on the Internet,” stressing that, “The ministry is committed only to the decisions of the Parliament and the Kurdistan Regional Government.”

Saleh added, “It is very difficult for the concerned authorities in Iraq to block pornographic sites,” pointing out that, “There are thousands of sites and they can not be controlled.”
