MoE closes industrial, agriculture firms in Diwaniya

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Environment closed several industrial and agricultural activities in Diwaniya province for not obtaining the environmental approvals.The Ministry of Environment reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The observation teams within Qadisiyah Environment Directorate closed Safaa agriculture firm for producing eggs for 30 extendable days until it obtains the environmental approvals from the Ministry of Environment.” ”The Ministry also closed Sadeer asphalt plant for 30 days and the plant was warned to attend at the environment directorate in the province within ten days,” the statement added.”The Ministry sent a letter for the General Directorate of Middle Euphrates environment to impose financial fine on Daghara municipality for dumping garbage randomly nearby residential neighborhoods based on the law of protecting and enhancing environment no. 27 of 2009,” the statement concluded. \
