MoE inaugurates power generating station in Maysan

Maysan (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity inaugurated power generating station in Maysan province with a capacity of 200 MW. IraqiNews.com reporter cited, on Saturday “The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of electricity Karim Aftan al-Jumaili besides a number of officials in the ministry,” noting that “The project was implemented by the South Korean (STX) company under the supervision of the engineering and technical staff of the Projects Directorate within the Ministry.” The Chairman of Maysan Provincial Council, Abdul Hussein Abdul Redha who attended the inauguration, called to “Allocate part of the generated energy from this station for Maysan province.” It is worth to be mentioned that Maysan province has been detached from the national power grid after linking it with Karkha Iranian electricity line.
