MoE to increase electricity capacity in KR

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity in Kurdistan Regional Government announce increasing the capacity of electricity power in KR.The Office of Kurdistani Patriotic Union qouted the Media Director of KRG, Deyar Baban, as saying “The electric power generated in KR will be increased to reach more than 3,000 MW during 2013.””The total production of electric power in Kurdistan Region now is about 650MW but after increasing the electricity in Dohuk and Sulaimaniya provinces it will reach 3,085MW,” he added.”According to this plan, Sulaimaniya and Dohuk electricity stations will generate an additional 500MW to be linked with national electricity power network,” he pointed out.”The electricity increase will have a positive impact on electricity situation and that will eliminate the problem of electricity power in Kurdistan Region,” he concluded. \
