MoH prevents expired food coming through Trebil border inlet

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The surveillance teams returned (19 tons) of mustard manufactured in the USA from Trebil border inlet for being expired material.The Ministry mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The health surveillance teams are tightening their procedures at all border inlets to reduce the spreading of expired food into the Iraqi markets as a part of the precautionary procedures taken by the Ministry of Health.””The surveillance teams returned about (19 tons) of mustard, which is used in salad and appetizers, because some of them are expired or almost expired,” the statement added, noting that “The mustard reached Trebil border inlet according to formal Jordanian documents.” \
