MoI confirms itself as only side authorized to issue weapons possession ID

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Interior confirmed that its is the only side authorized to grant the licenses to possess and carry weapons.The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier, Saad Maan, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The Ministry of Interior is the only body authorized to grant the licenses to possess and carry weapons according to regulations and conditions, determined by the Ministry, that must be available in the person who ask for these licenses.””The licenses which are issued by any other body but the Ministry of Interior are considered as illegal and the legal procedures shall be taken against any person carrying weapon’s possession card not issued by the Ministry of Interior,” the statement added. \
