MoT sets referendum over replacing flour in ration card with cash

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Trade announced setting a referendum to explore the desire of citizens in regard to their wish to continue receiving flour within the ration card or to replace it with financial funds.The Ministry of Trade quoted the Director General of the Grains Manufacturing Company, Adnan al-Sharifi, as saying ”The company is seeking to present the best services for citizens in Baghdad and other provinces by enhancing the quality of our goods or by imposing the required supervision on private bakeries.””The company continues supplying flour for people since we did not notice any delay in providing the flour,” the statement added.The Director General of the Grains Manufacturing Company called the citizens to visit the website of the company to participate in the referendum. \
