(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that the government seeks to amend Accountability and Justice Law and form the National Guard, and expressed support for the efforts of equipping and training the Peshmerga forces, pointing out that he would not allow the existence of any “ghost soldiers” on the payroll.

Abadi said in an article written for the American newspaper ‘The Wall Street Journal,’ and followed by IraqiNewes.com,”Iraqis are defending themselves against terrorists that are crossing the border in both battlefronts and internal fronts. We are going forward to liberate every inch of our territory and every segment of our citizens from the terrorist organization ISIS. We are also dealing with the resentment that leads to terrorism.”

He added, “Military action is necessary to expel ISIS from the land that we love, but there will be no victory without government reform and national reconciliation, as well as economic and social reconstruction,” adding that, “Exclusion creates extremism.”
