(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Secretary General of the Council of Representatives Ayad Namik announced that the salaries of members of the House of Representatives, which will be spent in the 28 of this month, have been reduced by 45%.

Namik said in press statements followed by IraqiNews.com, “The salaries of all members of the House of Representatives and the Presidency will be deducted by 45% in accordance with what is stated in the paper reform submitted by the government,” noting that ” the salaries of Council staff, starting from the secretary, and officials working in the Council, have been reduced between 30-40 percent. ”

Namik added that ,”the House of Representatives staff supported all governmental and parliamentary reforms that aim to reconsider the facilities that are a burden on the budget,” asserting that “the staff and employees of the House of Representatives support the call of the religious authority and government reforms .”
