Parliament Speaker arrives in Washington at the invitation of the White House

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday the President of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri arrived with the delegation accompanying him to the US capital Washington following an invitation from the White House.
The Information Office of Jabouri said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “It is scheduled that al-Jubouri will meet US President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and a number of members of the Senate and House of Representatives.”
The statement pointed out that, “Al-Jubouri will discuss the security file and increased support provided by the international coalition to improve the potential of the Iraqi army and the intensification of air support in the war against terrorist groups, as well as the displaced people file”.
The head of the House of Representatives concluded his visit to Europe on Sunday, which had included the Italian capital Rome and the Belgian capital Brussels, during which he launched a humanitarian aid plan for Iraq from within the European Union.
Al-Jubouri announced on the sidelines of the visit that he has collected $ 500 million “to save lives and support the displaced people.”
