SJC: Federal Cassation Court settle 97% of cases brought before it in 2012

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council announced new statistics about the performance of the federal cassation court, stressing settling 97% from the cases brought before it in 2012.

A statement by the SJC received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Federal Cassation Court considered 53, 334 cases among them 1994 one left from 2010,” confirming “The cassation court settled in that period 51, 985 causes i.e 97% referring to keeping 349 cases for 2013.”

“The juvenile body settled 2225 cases while the personal status body completed 10, 222,” the statement concluded.
