A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council cited “The convict was captured by the US military forces in southwestern Baghdad where he confessed during the investigations his entry to Iraq illegally across the borders with Syria.”

“He was welcomed by certain person who familiarized him to the terrorist Islamic Army to take part in fighting the US forces in Iraq,” the statement added.
