War with ISIS is not sectarian, all Muslims are brothers says Muqtada al-Sadr

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, The cleric Moqtada al-Sadr stated that the war against the organization of the Islamic State is not a sectarian, saying that all Islamic sects and religious communities are under his protection and that the new government should “take care of the moderates” and “not repeat the tragedies of the previous regime.”

Sadr said in a televised speech, followed by IraqiNews.com “we will protect Iraq from the hands of terrorism, not from the hands of moderates; we do not want a sectarian war,” pointing out that “all Islamic sects are our brothers, and all the religious communities in our protection”.
