1 civilian killed, 5 wounded in explosion north of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, one civilian was killed, and five others were wounded in a bomb explosion north of the capital Baghdad, according to a source in the Iraqi police.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “An explosive device implanted on the side of a road in the Jerusalem neighborhood in Rashidiya area northern of Baghdad exploded, before noon today, targeting a shop selling mobile phones. It resulted in killing one civilian and wounding five others.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added, “The security forces arrived at the scene and transported the injured to the hospital and the dead body to the Forensic Medicine Department.”
