1 civilian killed, 6 wounded by improvised explosive device north of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a police source announced that one person was killed and 6 others were injured by an improvised explosive device in al-Qahera district northern Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The explosive device, emplaced inside a Kia vehicle by unidentified individuals, exploded this evening as it passed in al-Qahera district north of Baghdad, which resulted in killing one civilian and wounding six others.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital and the dead body to the Forensic Medicine Department.”
