15 Mayors resign from their posts in Mosul, Iraq

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of Mosul city, Hussein Ali Hajim, announced the resignation of 15 mayors due to terrorist threats and assassination attempts against them.

”Hajim reported to IraqiNews.com ”The (15) mayors submitted their resignation for security reasons since they are being assassinated in the province.”

Five mayors were killed by unidentified gunmen in various areas of Mosul city on last Sunday.
