10 ISIS elements killed near al-Fatha bridge northern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that the security forces have killed 10 ISIS elements including a senior leader within the group during violent clashes in northern Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “A security force clashed with a group of ISIS militants near the bridge of al-Fatha in northern Tikrit, killing 10 ISIS elements, including a senior leader within the group, known as Abu Qatiba al-Karboli,” pointing out that, “The force has returned to the headquarters in Biji after completing the mission.”

Noteworthy, the bridge of al-Fatha has reportedly been targeted by the ISIS group militants. Al-fatha bridge links between the areas of northern and eastern Salahuddin as well as the eastern areas of the province of Kirkuk.
