11 IPs killed, wounded in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) About (11) security elements were killed and wounded when three mines exploded to the north of Tikrit city.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”The three mines, which were emplaced at the highway of Ismidah area of Beji district, exploded targeting a police patrol of the Fifth Emergency Regiment.””The explosion of the three mines resulted n killing the Commander of the Police Regiment and five other policemen while four policemen were seriously wounded due to the explosion,” the source added.”The security forces imposed a security cordon over the explosion area and launched a raid-search campaign looking for the perpetrators,” the source pointed out.”The corpses were transported to the morgue and the wounded to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
