11 people killed and wounded in bomb blast near popular cafe east of Baghdad
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday, that 11 people had been killed and wounded in a bomb blast near a popular cafe east of Baghdad.
The source said in an interview IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded this evening near a popular cafe in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad, resulting in the death of two people and wounding nine others.”
The source, who asked not to be named, added: “Ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while security forces cordoned off the area and prevented approaching it.”
