11 people killed, wounded in the explosion of explosive device south of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com)Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Monday that 11 people had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of an explosive device south of Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded, before noon today, near a popular market in the district of Madain south of Baghdad, killing two people and injuring nine others.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “The security forces rushed to the area and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department,” without giving further details.
