11 security elements killed, wounded in suicide attack north of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Interior Ministry announced on Saturday, that 11 army and police members had been either killed or wounded in a suicide bombing that targeted a joint checkpoint north of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com “a suicide bomber that was driving a car blew himself up at a joint army and police checkpoint in Tarmiyah area north of Baghdad, killing two security members and wounding nine others in the initial toll.”
