11 soldiers killed, 22 others wounded in al-Muthanna

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that 11 soldiers have been killed and 22 others were injured in a violent attack by the ISIS group on al-Muthanna area in southern Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This afternoon, elements of the ISIS group attacked the area of al-Muthanna, located 40 km southern Tikrit,” adding that, “The violent clashes between the security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters and the ISIS group militants resulted in killing 11 soldiers and wounding 22 others.”

“The number of ISIS casualties remains unknown,” the source added.
