 13 ISIS fighters killed while trying to attack security headquarters in southern Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – A source in Anbar Operations Command announced on Wednesday, that the security forces repulsed ISIS attack on the headquarters of the security forces in southern Fallujah (62 km west of Baghdad), while pointed out to the death of 13 members of ISIS during the operation.

The source said in a brief statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Today the security forces were able to repel the attack of ISIS members on the military headquarters in the regions of al-Hitawin, al-Sada and Nuaimiya (22 km south of Fallujah), killing 13 ISIS militants.”

The source added, “The security forces managed to destroy four vehicles mounted with machine guns and missiles, in addition to a rocket launcher.”
