 14 ISIS militants killed by Iraqi army artillery south of Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – An informed source in Nineveh Province announced on Tuesday, that 14 gunmen belonging to ISIS were killed by Iraqi army shelling south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad).

The source said in a brief statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The artillery of the army’s 15th brigade shelled ISIS headquarters in the villages of al-Awsaja and Haj Ali in Qayyarah vicinity south of Mosul,” adding that, “The artillery shelling resulted in the killing of 14 ISIS fighters.”

Noteworthy, ISIS took over the city of Mosul in Nineveh Province in 10 June 2014, while extended its terrorist activities to many other areas in Iraq and committed crimes against humanity and genocide.
