15 ISIS elements killed in internal clashes southwest of Kirkuk

(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A local source in Kirkuk province said on Tuesday, that 15 ISIS elements, including foreigners, had been killed in armed clashes because of a dispute over the distribution of money and power southwest of the province.

The source, who requested anonymity, reported for IraqiNews.com, “Today, 15 ISIS elements had been killed in armed clashes between ISIS militants¬†in the area of al-Abassi in the district of al-Hawija (55 km southwest of Kirkuk),” noting that, “This happened because of a dispute over the distribution of money and power.”

The source also added, “Three foreigners were among the dead,” pointing out that, “ISIS [elements] imposed a curfew in the district in anticipation of any acts against them.”
