 16 ISIS fighters killed in aerial bombardment in central Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Kurdistan Democratic Party announced on Monday, that 16 members of the so-called ISIS were killed in an aerial bombardment carried out by the coalition aviation in central Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad).

The Kurdistan Democratic Party spokesman in Mosul, Saeed Mamousini, said in a brief statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Today the international coalition aviation carried out an air strike on the ISIS headquarters in al-Faisalia neighborhood in central Mosul.”

Mmousini added, “The aerial operation killed 16 fighters belonging to ISIS.”

Noteworthy, ISIS imposed its control over the city of Mosul in Nineveh Province in June 2014 and extended its activities to several provinces and regions.
