17 dead, 40 injured in Baghdad rocket and car bombing attacks

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A source within the Iraqi police force stated on Thursday that 17 people were killed and 40 others injured in a car bombing and Katyusha rocket attack that landed in northern Baghdad.

The source said, “17 dead and 40 wounded fell victims to a car bombing and Katyusha rockets that landed in Kazimya and Kuraiya’at areas in northern Baghdad, noting that ambulances ran into the area and took the victims to a near hospital for medical treatment.

Earlier in the same day, a security source in Baghdad informed IraqiNews that 2 deaths and 6 wounded have resulted in a car bombing in al-Tobaji area in northern Baghdad. Meanwhile 8 unidentified bodies were found by security forces in different areas in the city of Baghdad.
