2 killed, 5 injuried in explosion south of Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, according to a police source, two civilians were killed and five others were wounded by an explosive device in Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The explosive device was implanted on the side of a road in al-Karoghli village in the area of Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad, which resulted in killing two civilians and wounding five others.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added that, “Security forces cordoned off the scene, while ambulances transported the injured to a nearby hospital, and the bodies to the Forensic Medicine Department.”
