20 ISIS militants killed in U.S. airstrike in southwest of Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, a security source in Kirkuk province stated, that the U.S. Air Force conducted an airstrike against ISIS militants in southwest of Kirkuk.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This evening, warplanes belonging to the U.S. Air Force conducted an airstrike against ISIS militants in Al-Huwaija, 55 km southwest of Kirkuk. The air strike resulted in killing 20 ISIS militants and destroying 7 armored vehicles belonged to the group.”

“The operation was based on intelligence received from the U.S. Central Intelligence (CIA) and local sources,” he said.
