(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – More than 200 tribal fighters of Sunni tribes, along with an brigade from the Iraqi army controlled the liberated areas, southeast of the city of Mosul that witnessed extensive military operations to liberate it from the grip of the Islamic State group, Shafaaq News reported on Tuesday.

Commander of Hashd Forsan Ninewa, Ghazi al-Abbar, said, “Forsan Ninewa Regiment (Nineveh’s Knights), which consists of 200 fighters of al-Hashd al-Ashaeri, along with the 9th brigade of Iraqi army were assigned to control Khawitela village and Hayy al-Eintsar southeast of Mosul, to allow Iraqi forces to advance toward other areas.”
