 Over 2,125 Iraqis killed, wounded in violent acts in November, says UNAMI

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) announced on Tuesday killing and wounding more than 2,000 Iraqis in acts of violence witnessed in different parts of the country last month.

The UN mission (UNAMI) said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The events of terrorism and violence in Iraq resulted in killing and injuring 2125 people in November,” indicating that, “The death toll amounted to 888 people and 1237 others injured.”

UNAMI added that “The civilian death toll stood at 489 dead, while the number of wounded civilians reached 869, including 49 wounded from the federal police,” noting that, “The losses in the ranks of the armed security forces amounted to 399 dead, including elements of the Peshmerga and al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters, while the total number of the injured among the armed forces amounted to 368 wounded.”
