3 policemen including officer killed, wounded in armed attack in Baquba

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – A local source in Diyala province announced on Sunday, that three policemen, including an officer, had been either killed or wounded in an armed attack in the district of Baquba.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “a police patrol was targeted by an explosive device on the Agricultural Road in the area of al-Abara (15 km north east of Baquba), followed by an armed attack, which resulted in the killing of one policeman and wounding another, as well as a lieutenant colonel.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the security forces cordoned off the area and opened an investigation.”
