 34000 Iraqis killed, injured within a year, says Human Rights Ministry

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Ministry of human rights announced in a report issued on Wednesday, the killing and wounding of about 34 000 Iraqis in one year, in the provinces of central and southern Iraq, as well as thousands of unidentified bodies.

The ministry said in a report that “the number of Iraqi deaths during the past year in central and southern provinces, reached 4722 people, while the number of the wounded has reached 28 575 injuries during the violence that has gripped Iraq.”

The report indicated that: “the number of bodies of known identities reached 1458 bodies, and 1965 unidentified bodies.”
