35 killed, 50 wounded in bomb blast at funeral in Muqdadiya District

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – A security source in Diyala province announced on Monday, that the outcome of the suicide bombing of an explosive belt, which targeted a funeral in the district of Miqdadiya northeast of Baquba (55 km northeast of Baghdad), rose to 85 dead and wounded.
The source said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The outcome of the suicide bombing of an explosive belt, which targeted a funeral in Muqdadiya District, (35 km north east of Baquba), reached 35 dead and 50 wounded,” adding that, “The death toll may increase.”
Earlier today, a security source in Diyala province said that 60 people, including leaders in al-Hshed al-Sha’bi, had been either killed or wounded, in a suicide bombing by an explosive belt that targeted a funeral in the district of Miqdadiya northeast of Baquba.
