 42 ISIS elements killed in clashes with Peshmerga forces east of Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The Kurdistan Democratic Party announced on Thursday, that the final outcome of the clashes that broke out between the Peshmerga forces and elements of the ISIS east of the city of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad) amounted to 42 dead from the elements of the organization.

Media official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Saeed Mamouzzini said in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The final outcome of the clashes that broke out, yesterday evening, between the Peshmerga forces and ISIS elements in Khazar area east of Mosul reached 42 dead from the elements of the organization.”

Mamouzzini adde, “The Peshmerga forces managed to destroy five bobby-trapped vehicles belonging to the organization during the clashes.”

Noteworthy, Peshmerga forces have been battling against ISIS in many areas outside the Kurdistan region, including Makhmur, Zammar, Sinjar, Kirkuk and Diyala.
