 5 ISIS elements surrender to Peshmerga in Alkwyr axis south of Erbil

(IraqiNews.com) Sulaymaniyah – On Thursday the Peshmerga forces in the province of Sulaymaniyah announced, that five members of ISIS surrendered to the Peshmerga forces in the axis of Alkwyr, south of Irbil (360 km north of Baghdad).

The deputy commander of the Peshmerga forces in the province of Sulaymaniyah, Major General Mohammed Ramadan, said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com “Five members of the organization surrendered, at six o’clock in the morning, to the Peshmerga forces in the village of Saqi in Alkwyr axis.”

Ramadan added that “all the militants were Iraqis,” indicating “they are between the ages of 25 to 35 years.”
