Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source in Kirkuk province stated that 55 ISIS militants were killed in an airstrike that targeted their locations in southwest of the province.
The source informed IraqiNews, “U.S. warplanes conducted an airstrike against ISIS shelters in al-Manzala and al-Kabiba areas, located in al-Hawija, 55 km southwest of Kirkuk. The airstrike resulted in killing 55 ISIS militants, including a senior leader known as Abu Hassan, and destroying their shelter.”
Noteworthy, the province of Kirkuk witnesses constant clashes between Iraqi forces and the ISIS militants who have seized large expanses of territories in the province.
