(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The Kurdistan Democratic Party announced on Thursday the killing of seven ISIS elements in an artillery shelling by the security forces south of Mosul.

The spokesperson for the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Nineveh Province, Saeed Mamouzini, said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “A force from the Peshmerga targeted the ISIS headquarters with heavy artillery in the villages of Barima and Khur-Subat in the vicinity of Bashiqah (22 km south of Mosul).”

Mamouzini added, “The artillery shelling resulted in the death of seven ISIS members, in addition to destroying three vehicles belonging to them.”
