76 ISIS elements killed, wounded during battles in Daquq District

(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – According to a security source in the province of Kirkuk, 76 ISIS elements had been either killed or wounded in the liberation battles of Daquq District south of the province.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “This morning, a security operation, launched by a force from the Peshmerga and the Anti-Terrorism to liberate Daquq district (40 km south of Kirkuk), resulted in the killing of 36 ISIS elements and wounding 40 others,” adding that “ISIS left the bodies of its dead in the battlefield.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, stated: “The operation also resulted in the death of three members of the Peshmerga forces, and injuring about 20 others, including the secretary of Kurdistan Communist Party Mohammed Haj Mustafa.”
