Bomb blast kills, wounds 8 people south of Baghdad

(Iraqinews.com) Baghdad – On Sunday, a security source in the Ministry of Interior announced, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast south of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by Iraqinews.com, “Today, a bomb exploded near a popular restaurant in Wardiya area south of Baghdad, killing one person and wounding seven others,” adding that, “Security forces cordoned off the area and transferred the wounded to a hospital to receive treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department.”
