8 people killed, wounded in bomb blast near shops south of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Thursday, a source in the Interior Ministry announced, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of an explosive device near shops south of Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “An explosive device exploded, this evening, near shops in Abu Dashir area south of Baghdad, resulting in the death of two people and wounding six others.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “The security forces rushed to the area and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while strict security measures were imposed in the area of the incident.”
