8 people killed and wounded in bomb blast northwest of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad-A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast northwest of Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded this morning near shops in al-Horiya area northwest of Baghdad, resulting in the killing of two people and wounding six others.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “Ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital to receive treatment and the bodies of the dead to the forensic medicine department, while the security forces cordoned off the area of the incident and prevented approaching it.”
